Chart Listing Conditions and Essential Oils Recommended to Use
When it comes to putting together conditions and the Essential Oils to Use to heal or treat those ailments, the chart below might prove quite useful.
All of the essential oils recommended for use on the "Conditions and Essential Oils to Use" table can be safely used topically and using safe inhalation methods. That means, if you are going to use the oil topically, dilute it first in a carrier oil.
If you're going to inhale the oils, you first need to know that even with inhalation you should follow some basic precautions. For instance, if you have a seizure disorder taking a big whiff of some oils can trigger a seizure. And using essential oils with strong camphor or menthol properties around infants can cause them to instantly collapse.
So use wisdom whether you are using the oils for yourself, in your home, on your pets, on older children, or around infants and toddlers.
Remember, while essential oils have amazing healing and therapeutic benefits, they are just like any drug or chemical and should be used with caution and kept out of reach of the children.
Why We Encourage Safe Use of Essential Oils
One thing I want to point out is that some conditions are NOT listed in this table, and for a very good reason.
The only way to really treat those conditions is through ingestion, and while Young Living and doTERRA sales reps are continually recommendeding ingestion, we NEVER do. And while most of the oils they recommend for ingestion are from plants or spices that we ingest in other forms, that does not make them safe in the concentrated oil form.
In fact, if you want to enjoy the
benefits of, say lemon, why not just drink lemon juice, or add some lemon
to your tea. That would be much safer than ingesting 1-3 drops of lemon
essential oil each day, when each drop is 100 times more concentrated
than the juice...and when just ingestion has caused numerous side
effects and hospital visits.
